The Church in Merced

Glory be to God!  Praise the Lord Jesus Christ! We are the Christian believers in the Church in Merced, California. We are the loving seekers of the Lord Jesus Christ who have personally received Him as our Savior.

Christ is the all-inclusive One who is with abundant grace, the most excellent and enjoyable Person. We love Him and endeavor to give Him the first place in all things.  

Our Christ is the smitten Rock whence living waters burst;

He is the fountain in our heart which quenches all our thirst.

Christ is our Savior, Shepherd, Lord, our Advocate above;

He is our Counsellor, our Father, God, and our Brother, Friend and Love.

We rejoice to be cleansed by the blood of Jesus, God’s Son, born again of the Father’s divine life, and filled with the Holy Spirit.

We highly treasure the Holy Bible as God’s revelation of Himself and of His eternal purpose. We hold the common faith which is revealed in the Bible and is common to all genuine believers (Titus 1:4; Jude 3).  

We believe that "[God] subjected all things under the feet of Christ and gave Him to be Head over all things to the church, which is His Body, the fullness of the One who fills all in all." (Ephesians 1:22-23).

As is true of all believers in Christ, we are genuine members of His one Body, the church. In order to practice the oneness of the Body with all the Christians, we meet as the church locally here in the City of Merced. Similar to those churches in Ephesus, Corinth, Colossae, Philippi, Galatia, etc. in the early days of the church, we are in fellowship with over 2,000 local churches in various cities worldwide to express the one Body of Christ.

As our brothers and sisters, we receive all who believe in Jesus Christ, and we also warmly welcome guests and visitors.
